Since 2010, SoNo Fest & Chili Cook-Off has grown into a SoCal not-to-be-missed event! It brings more than twenty thousand people from all over San Diego and beyond, receives coverage from dozens of local and state-wide press outlets each year, and is regularly featured in high profile event calendars and television segments. Featuring 35+ top San Diego restaurants competing for bragging rights in the legendary Chili Cook-Off, hand-made San Diego Ceramic Connection signature bowls, over 20 breweries, cideries, distilleries and wineries in the Booze Garden, live music from local bands on 2 stages all day, 30 handmade vendors, food trucks and more, SoNo Fest is an all-ages, one-of-a-kind event that patrons look forward to each year!
After transitioning SoNo Fest to an online chili making contest and bowl sale in 2020 and splitting our profits with the amazing restaurants who were hard hit during the pandemic, we brought it back on the street in 2021, which turned out to SoNo’s biggest year to date! In 2022, we are building off that momentum with a celebration of everything we love: chili, music and small business. The heart of this event is rooted in the San Diego community, and your support as a sponsor will link you to these patrons, other business and individual supporters, and a dynamic school circle.
SoNo Fest donates 100% of proceeds to make it possible for all 600+ students at McKinley Elementary School in North Park to experience a full art program, gardening, dance, language, theater and more. These programs are not funded by the district, and without the support of our generous sponsors and the rest of our SoNo Fest community, would not be available to our students.
